    Description

    WW 1 trench art brass match box holder. One side has name of soldier W.J. Friend over BL.Y. The revers side has the name of the French town BAPAUME. The spine of the box has the date 1919. The town was liberated by the Australians and then given up to the Germans in a later engagement. Finally liberated by the New Zealander's March 1918.
