1944 UNC Belgium 2 Francs Struck on USA 1943 Steel 1 Cent Lincoln Planchet
. The photos make this look dark but the coin is actually white and clean with just a hint of golden toning on both sides. After the war, to help Belgium, the USA gave this nation leftover steel planchets used to make the 1943 Steel US Lincoln cent. These planchets were used to strike 1944 Belgian 2 francs coins.
Two available, selling each separately, both are in uncirculated condition. If you buy both, shipping is free for the second one. This is a nifty coin for every Lincoln enthusiast to add to his or her collection.
