    Description

    For auction is a seldom encountered WW1 British SBR gas mask. This set is complete with mask, filter, and carrying bag. The carrying bag is named to a US soldier of the AEF as they were issued these British masks early on in US involvement in 1917.
    There are some condition issues, which you can see in the photos. The hose is torn, but everything is there. The mask is in typical crispy condition, and while the mouth piece in still with the mask, it is loose. I was hesitant to remove the filter from the bag as it didn't want to budge, but you can see the top of it in the photos, with that typical British reddish shellac over the tin. There is also a little repair kit still attached to the bag.
