    Description

    Antique American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Bowl
    Up for auction is a beautiful and hard-to-find antique American Brilliant Period cut glass bowl in exceptionally fine condition.
    It measures 7" in diameter by 1-3/4" deep.
    This pattern is shown on page 119 (Picture c 452) in "Identifying American Brilliant cut Glass".  It is identified as "Fontenoy" by Unger.
    It is solidly and elaborately cut with complex hobstars, Gothic arches, fine-cut silver grating and small geometric "house" shapes filled with tiny caned nailheads.
    The dish is in excellent antique condition with superb clarity, firy reflection, and no chipped or missing teeth.
