Description
Welcome toANTIQUES & MOORE!
This listing is for a gorgeous American Brilliant Period (ABP) cut glass vase by Hawkes in their highly desirable QUEENS pattern, c. 1880-1900. This elaborate pattern features an intricately cut design in horizontal panels alternating with round cut thumbprints. Vase is signed with the acid etched Hawkes trademark stamp. The Queens pattern is illustrated on page 217, figure 810 of the book "American Cut & Engraved Glass" by Martha Louise Swan. This pattern is considered to be rare and is among the most sought after patterns of the American Brilliant Period cut glass creations. This vase has been in my personal collection for over 40 years and is guaranteed to be authentic as represented.
Measures 10 1/4" tall with a top diameter of 4 1/8" and a 3 3/4" diameter base.
This nice vase is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There may be a tiny nick or two on the cut edges of the design, however, we found nothing at all wrong with this vase. Base does reflect minor signs of normal wear.
