    Description

Excellent example of a WW1 British Officer’s Sam Browne leather rig, complete with cross/shoulder strap, sword frog and Webley Mk.VI Service Revolver Holster which is both maker marked and dated on the reverse.
The Webley Mk.VI Service Revolver Holster has a Maker’s Mark oval for the premier British leather holster maker ‘Cooper Webb Jones & Co. Walsall’ and is dated 1918. The belt loop on the reverse has been professionally altered to suit the wearer, and was probably done to accommodate a left-handed wearer. The holster’s dimensions are barrel length right side 10 inches. Top of the flap 7 inches. Diagonal length from the top left of the flap to the muzzle 12½ inches.
The Sam Browne belt is 45 inches in length, and all the leather is in excellent condition with normal service wear.
In all, an excellent example of a WW1 British Officer’s Sam Browne rig.
