The CO2/LN2 Back-up System system is designed to provide a means of maintaining the contents of a New
Brunswick Scientific Ultra Low Temperature Freezer at a preset temperature should the power or the
refrigeration system fail.
Maintain temperature between -55°C and -70°C with Liquid CO2, or down to -85°C with LN2, subject to environmental conditions
Coolant addition is pulsed to avoid excessive consumption
Built-in safety device prevents pulsing while the door is open
Features:
Equipped with a battery back-up to temporarily protect the contents of your freezer in case of power failure
Available in either liquid CO2 and LN2. Liquid CO2 can maintain temperatures between -50°C and -70°C, where as LN2 can go down to -85°C
Both systems can be factory installed with your freezer order at no additional charge or retrofitted on location
Info: CO2 and LN2 are not interchangeable systems
