Description

The grapes come primarily from the valley’s cooler southern regions, which extend from Carneros to relatively warmer sites just north of the town of Napa. Blending fruit from diverse mesoclimates and soils results in a rich, ripe, elegantly structured Chardonnay that’s delicious on release and ages well. The grapes were handpicked at night, then pressed as whole clusters to preserve freshness and fermented in French oak barrels (90%) and stainless steel tanks (10%). 9% of the wine saw malolactic fermentation. All but a small percentage of the component wines aged in barrel on their lees for eight months, with periodic stirring based on the characteristics of each lot. The lots were then blended and the finished wine was bottled during the spring following the harvest..
Shows fresh, creamy aromas of ripe pear, apple and citrus, with light butter, yeast and spicy oak notes that add complexity. Rich, focused, green apple, melon and guava flavors are balanced by fresh acidity and a piquant mineral trace. Mouth filling and elegant, this quintessential Napa Valley Chardonnay is delectable now, and will develop greater complexity with 5-8 years of bottle age.
Delicious with chicken, shellfish, seafood and grilled salads.

All wines have been carefully stored in a temperature control cellar at 55*.
