    Description

This item is an Antique Morimura Nippon china oval 8" bowl painted with poppies in orange and white, with gold gilt trim, has the artists' signature and is back stamped with "hand painted Nippon"    You can see the transparency of the china when held to the light.  I can't quite capture in photos but you can see "through" it.  After much research and family photos to confirm, this is an original piece they purchased in the 1920's.   Please contact seller with  ANY questions, etc.
    Any
    mark
    with "
    Nippon
" had to be made before 1921 when the word was banned from U.S. imports. This rule held true until the early 1980s when new porcelain began appearing with
    marks
    containing the word "
    Nippon
    ".
