1889 Hawkes ABP Comport Shape #491 Strawberry Diamond & Fan Cuts 7"

Description

You are bidding on an early cut crystal footed comport dating from the American Brilliant Period. It has Strawberry Diamond and Fan cuts. It's comport shape #491 featured on page 177 of The T.G. Hawkes Grand Prize Paris Exposition 1889 ACGA reprint catalog. It's 7" diameter and 3" tall.
The comport is of exquisite quality with a good weight and cuts that are very sharp to the touch. The clarity is very good. It glows bright green under the black light.
The teeth are in very good condition with no chips or flakes and none are missing. The under side of the base has a few miniature flakes on the edge.
This will make a nice addition to any Hawkes collection!!!
